This Advent, we are stepping back into the story of the birth of Christ. We once again anticipate the celebration of Emmanuel, God with us, in the birth of Jesus. But we also look forward with longing to the return of Christ, which is still to come.

The beauty of Advent is that we live in a “time between the times.” We are invited both to imagine and to embody, to imagine the future Christ has promised, and to embody the meaning of His coming in our lives today.
