Gateway Church of the Nazarene

Worship times: Saturday - 5:20
Sundays at 8:30 & 11 AM

Gateway is a place full of people who are committed to love.
We are a church that seeks to share the love of Jesus, and you will see this to be evident each and every time you attend church here at Gateway. You can feel the love in this place called Gateway Nazarene. As you scroll through this web site do not just read the words. We want to encourage you to ask two questions. First, ask how I can get involved in the life of the church? Second, ask how can I help?
As you read, our hope is that you would be compelled to get involved and get active.

5twenty is set aside for a time of getting together to share in a relaxed worship setting.  Sit back, drink your coffee, sing a few songs with acoustic guitars accompanied by a keyboard, and learn how to move forward in your spiritual journey. Children's programming begins about halfway through, so you get to spend time with your kids and then on your own.  Your kids will be having fun finding out about Jesus in creative ways while you are listening to the message.

About gateway

Gateway Church of the Nazarene began in 1989 in Temecula, as a church plant under the leadership of Rev. Kenn & Marsha Coil. We were initially called Rancho California Neighborhood Church of the Nazarene. The next name transition was Temecula Valley Neighborhood Church of the Nazarene, and then Gateway Church of the Nazarene when we met on Jefferson, at Adobe Plaza. Gateway's congregation pitched in to build our current building, and we moved to the Murrieta campus in May 2001.

Mission of the church of the nazarene

The mission of the Church of the Nazarene is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. We are a Great Commission church (Matthew 28:19-20). As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the good news of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. The Church of the Nazarene bonds together individuals who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, preaching, training, and service to others. We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons, along with our personal commitment to Christlike living. While the primary motive of the church is to glorify God, we also are called to actively participate in His mission—reconciling the world to himself. The statement of mission contains historical essentials of our mission: evangelism, sanctification, discipleship, compassion. The essence of holiness is Christlikeness.

southern california district - Church of the Nazarene

The Southern California District consists of sixty-two congregations, fifty organized churches and twelve missions or new start congregations, with approximately ten thousand members. These congregations are increasingly reflecting the great ethnic/cultural diversity of our area. In addition to English speaking congregations, worship services are also conducted in Spanish, Samoan, French, Swahili, and Korean languages. The history of the Southern California District began soon after the founding of the Church of the Nazarene in Los Angeles over one hundred years ago. San Diego First Church of the Nazarene was established in 1907.

We exist to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment by resourcing the development of pastors and leaders and overseeing local churches in becoming spiritually healthy and fruitful.
